📍 Politecnico di Torino - 📅 November 12–14, 2025
To celebrate the first centenary of quantum mechanics, the QubiTO student team at Politecnico di Torino presents QubiTO Quantum Days — a three-day event exploring the evolution of quantum science from its theoretical origins to the technologies shaping the second quantum revolution.
The event gathers students, researchers, and enthusiasts to reflect on a century of discoveries and look toward the future of quantum engineering.
Note: The full event will also be available online; connection instructions will be shared with registered attendees.
Program
12th of November – The Origins of Quantum Mechanics
Room 11T / 18:30 – 20:00
- Opening by the QubiTO board with Prof. Matteo Cocuzza (Coordinator of the M.Sc. in Quantum Engineering) and Prof. Bartolomeo Montrucchio (QubiTO Advisor).
- Prof. Riccardo Adami (DISMA, Politecnico di Torino): Quantum Mechanics: From Heresy to Dogma in a Hundred Years
A keynote lecture retracing the evolution of quantum mechanics across its first century.
13th of November – The Challenge of Quantum Supremacy
Room 29B / 17:30 – 19:00
- Prof. Scott Aaronson (University of Texas at Austin): The TRUTH about Quantum Computing
An online keynote exploring principles and perspectives of quantum computing and supremacy.
14th of November – Quantum Workshop @ Lagrange
Room 29B / 17:30 – 19:00
- Dr. Emanuele Dri: Quantum Workshop with Lagrange
